Kristy & Peep KIT

Add to Cart
As featured in the Winter 2014 edition of Primitive Quilts & Projects, these two stay close as winter comes to a close giving way to spring.  She is just one of the many little creatures from my imagination -- yes, I'm not living alone.  The boys get way too much attention when the girls have the real magic! This is the KIT and if you don't already have the magazine you will want a pattern.  This does not include the pattern.
This includes:

for Kristy-

½ yard cotton fabric of choice for Kristy’s body

16” square Twinkle ivory felted wool for Kristy’s head.

56—1½”-wide pastel wool pennies for Kristy’s headdress

2” x 3” orange felted wool for Kristy’s nose

1 yard grey check brushed homespun for Kristy’s dress

1/3 yard heather felted wool for Kristy’s jacket

16” square grey felted wool for Kristy’s mittens

5” square sm grey pld felted wool for Kristy’s jacket pocket

1/8 yard grey stripe homespun for Kristy’s scarf

1—1”-wide button for Kristy’s jacket

5” x 11” grey herringbone wool for snowball bag

2—6½” squares ivory felted wool for body

2—½”-wide ivory buttons for eyes

You will still need:
3—2” wool snowballs (Dryer balls work well for this)
2 oval REB matte-finish ceramic buttons for Kristy’s eyes
Stuffing (I used tiny scraps of wool but you could also use cotton batting).  Whatever you use be sure to put something heavy like some sort of weight in the bottom if you use a lightweight stuffing but don't use a good item like rice or's food for mice!
